Dear reader,
The summer break continues. This week, after visiting in-laws and extended family in New York, I am at the Poconos, looking at the trees and a family of deer that pass by our holiday rental every morning and again at dusk. Yesterday, I saw some kids chase after the deer barefoot through the woods, their phones held out in front of them. Today, we were on a pontoon going round and round Boulder Lake.
The SneakyArt Post is
a publication about secretly drawn art of the world. Every week, I share my latest drawings and the best ideas from my journey of self-education to be an artist and writer.on summer break.

I missed this Sunday’s post, Insiders. Sorry. It has been a crazy week. I will make up for it!
Here are the things that happened this week in New York and around.
At Cafe Maman, I ordered an iced watermelon matcha drink and met with
. We drew each other! The next day, I met with
and at Caffe Reggio. This is my 60-second, single-line, blind contour drawing of them.I hung out with
. He told me about drawing comics for the New Yorker, and I told him why I stopped drawing comics. This is my single-line drawing of him drawing me. Read his post about our meetup. At the Poconos, I looked at a nice root of a nice tree that offered me nice shade. I drew with a Kita-Boshi 10B pencil, a gift from Samantha. It is fun, but maybe I should sharpen it?
The summer break is almost over. It has been good. Regular writing resumes next week!
