I do very much believe that drawing can save the world and I've been sharing my sketchbook drawings for years hoping to nudge people into a drawing habit. And it works! And you're doing it on a grand scale which is definitely world-changing!
I work as a therapist at a public school, and I couldn’t agree with you more that everyone can (and should!) draw as a mindfulness practice. I’ll also be at Sketcher Fest Edmonds, and I’d love to meet you there!
Your drawings from the Aspen Ideas Festival are wonderful, for a moment it was as if I was there, too!
And your big idea about drawing as a catalyst for a better world - couldn’t agree more ❤️
For me, the art of drawing is the art of truly seeing. And I believe it is for everyone, regardless of (preconceived) ability, talent, etc. Art and creative expression (no matter what kind) can have such power in making a life happier, healthier snd more beautiful.
So, your tiny drawings have big power and it is beautiful how you bring people together through them.
Glad to hear that. Seeing comes before drawing, and learning to see is at least as important as putting pen to paper. I hope I'm able to bring more people to this. 🥰
I will surely have the pleasure to meet you during the Chicago Urban Sketchers seminar. I love your Substack, your ideas and the simple beauty of your little people.
I'm looking forward to shaking your hand at the opening on July 11th.
Absolutely love your sharing, Nishant. This is so inspiring. Reading you elaborate on your big idea helps me understand my big idea and my needs better. 💜
I agree that drawing really gives us that opportunity to observe, absorb, and try to make sense of our experiences. Unfortunately I’m challenged with keeping a daily drawing habit.
Where does a question go if unanswered?
Maybe it haunts the corridors of our mind, locked in purgatory?

Thank you Deborah! We are together in this. 🙌
So good Nishant! I so agree with your 'big idea'... not much better than drawing for rekindling love for the world.
Thank you Anna! Let's save the world together!
Alright. I’m in. Let’s do it 🙃
I want every conference summed up for me in drawings 🤩 Love this!
🙌
I hear you! Similar path. Drawing habit, yes. I focuse on attention to nature to save the world.
My path is similar... https://open.substack.com/pub/biophiliafolio/p/my-big-idea-to-save-the-world?r=4a0b9k&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=false
Dang, missed you at the mall! Next time wheeere please?
Oh too bad! There will be something a couple more times this summer, and definitely in autumn when my book comes out!

Welcome to Colorado with your big ideas and tiny people. We need them
More than ever.
Thank you Peter! Everything was beautiful and nothing hurt. :)

I hope to revisit with more time in hand. The times right now ... are a little chaotic!
