I am recent fan, loving your work, and how your brain connects the dots! Your question this week of: "Do you need to speak to people to understand who you are?" is such a gem! It is one of the many quintessential questions I am faced with as an educator and psychotherapist, especially with the onslaught of AI. We are wired for connection. We know that identity is not a kernel inside of us, but rather the outcome of all our actions. The self exists in this rich and intricate network of decisions, both personal and professional, that we make with ourselves and our relationships. I can only see my narrative through the reflection of another. That is why I love your keen observations and sneaky art--taking a peek within yourself as you observe others! Thank you for your gifts!
Nishant, I will be at Sketcher Fest and would love to meet. I actually used a shot of one of your newsletters in an upcoming book I've written on branding for artists, writers, and other creators, so I want to check and make sure that works or you. But your post here makes me think of some of the points in that book on how you measure your time, success, etc. So we'll have plenty to chat about! See you Sunday.
Nishant, it was a pleasure to meet you in Chicago. You are an artist and a philosopher.
Love your deep thoughts as much as your tiny people.
My best wishes for you.
I'll be following your journey.
Adriana.
It was lovely to meet you as well Adri, I hope we have the chance to see each other again. I'll try to make more trips to Chicago. 😊
Would love to do a workshop with you in Toronto!
I live in Vancouver & would LOVE to do a workshop. I am intrigued by block printing, so I was excited to see that this is your next special project!
Yay, soon!
I'll be there in Edmonds on Sunday, looking forward to it very much!
See you there!
