I love this, noticing the tiny people of my world! I was taking a walk in my neighborhood near sunset and saw a mother pushing a toddler in her stroller on the other side of the street. The mom was totally distracted talking on her phone while the little girl was pointing to the sky and saying, "Mommy Mommy look! The sky is pink now, it's pink! Look!" The Mommy was too busy but I waved at the little girl and said, "I see it too, isn't it pretty?!" She clapped and it made me happy.
#91 Did I forget the poop bags?! ... I forgot the poop bags. I'll look off into space and pretend I didn't notice the bowel movement. No, bad karma. What can I pick it up with? Maybe I have a old receipt or something in my wallet...
#76 "This is not a punishment, this is dad's sanity." the father said, holding the leash and remembering yesterday when Little Timmy became one with the ducks in the pond.
It was like this for weeks: their schedules syncing perfecting, Joe on his way to the coffee shop, (he preferred mid-mornings) and Buster, Jerry’s dog, guiding Jerry with gentle but persistent determination to the park where Jerry would sit on a park bench, unleash Buster, and let him sniff leisurely around, wagging his tail in greeting to the neighbors, dogs and people alike.
Each day they passed each other in the street, they both acted surprised, as if the universe had magically conspired to bring them together like this, when instead it was their predictable routines that united them. The routines that led them out of their houses at the similar times, down the same street, and ultimately, the same side of the street, but from opposite directions.
Tomorrow would be different, for Joe had a doctor’s appointment, one that conflicted with his morning walk to the coffee shop. But there was nothing he could do about that. The aide booking the appointment made sure he knew that it would be weeks before he could find another appointment time for him with that doctor. And so he took the appointment, knowing the sooner he saw the doctor, the sooner he would know:
Would his morning routine be changing forever?
Would they notice him not being there to greet them, these neighbors, now pseudo-surprised to see him in the street? Or would he fade into the background, a distant memory, a nameless passerby, passing by someone somewhere else?
38. He peeked at the cute girl in the bookstore from the corner of his eye. White kurta shining, silver jhumkas twinkling and heavy jhola at her side, she was piling books in her arms as she browsed more. Another dart of his eyes registered that she had an affinity for fantasy books. He shuffled over to the fantasy section, looking for the perfect book to offer to her. If penguins offer round perfect pebbles to their penguin crushes, maybe bookworms could offer hardbound books?
#38 She said her favourite book is Atonement by Ian McEwan. Must find it.. must read it! Next time we talk, she will be blown away and maybe we can watch the movie based on it.. together.. I love rom coms too..I’m not gonna look up the plot.. aargh come on McCarthy.. McDonald.. yasss got it ~

Dan had finally worked up the courage to ask Shelly out, and she'd said yes! Now all he had to do was make the dinner reservation at that hot new restaurant ... click "confirm" and - what do you mean the internet is down?! It'll be up again in a minute, right? Wait for it ...
This light will never change. I know I should wait, but what if it is broken and will never change to green? What if I am late for school? Should I go now? There are no cars around….oh! Now it is green! On I go!
#41 - Right, ‘do you need a bag?’ Erm ‘No, ‘Scan your first item’ done, ‘Place your bag in the bagging area’ done, ‘Finish & pay’ right. ‘Where’s my card?’ Oh no!!
46: It was all she had managed to grab: mom's old jean jacket and a drawstring bag. As she glanced over her shoulder, she knew this would be the last time she ever looked back. It would be enough.
Suddenly I‘m ask by the woman sitting across from me: „I like your drawings. Are you an artist?“
„No, I‘m a trader. I do this to add creativity to my life. Do you want to keep my drawing as a memory for your Travel?“

A Connection made through art and a conversation started about jobs, drawing, pottery & I signed the Sketch with „inspired by sneaky artists“ before giving it away.
#90- I walked timidly to the park with my homemade sketchbook, fountain pen, and watercolors. I came to the park to be her. To draw quickly the people that I saw, to write a few comments on the page and to give my drawings a bit of color. Now, I just had to give myself the permission to do just that. To use all the skills that I had learned from a class that I took from The Sneaky Artist. So, I took a deep breath and commenced.
How fun! #40. Kim headed for the checkout counter with little 2-year-old Jeremy settled into his stroller and the stack of books nestled next to his sleepy body. They'd attended storytime and then read three books after, about wild things, the moon, and a whole alphabet of animals. She wondered if they could make it through checkout, the short walk to the market to grab some milk, and the stroll home before needing to change his diaper. She decided they could!

Now you're a wonderful tiny person of her world too! ❤️
#76 He looked around, surprised once again by how much there was to see when he'd forgotten and left his phone at home.
Big, beautiful world!

Oh no, crisis alert!
I agree with Dan about using the laptop for important reservations. 🙏

Little Tommy learned a valuable life lesson that day: you don’t need to outrun the goose, you only need to outrun your father.
Truth!

"became one with the ducks" 😅

It would be the perfect gift, I think!

Isn't it such a lovely feeling to sift through books in a library though? ☺️

Sometimes I'm convinced I'm going to be stuck there forever. Sometimes I really am.

#90 Drawing tiny people at the Airport:

Did this happen or did I make it up?
What a great story, I hope it's true!

🥰 We need other people to give us permission to be ourselves. I hope you found something in this tiny person, Shirley.

An amazing race against poo-poo time!
