Am saving the podcast conversation for the weekend, when I am back home, but loved the point you made about accuracy and precision - something that hugely imapcts the creative life.
I'm sure you will find lovely ways to incorporate that in your creative work too, Binu. Would love to hear about the podcast episode once you get a chance to listen. :)
I really enjoyed this article and was very interested in listening to your conversation with Tom. So, I just subscribed. I am moving in a few weeks and so as soon as I get settled in, I really want to add your book to my collection of good reads! There is something about your work and your prose that resonates with me. Thank you for sharing your gift of ideas, thoughts, and art.
Thank you! It's wonderful to have you as a subscriber! And you're just in time to hear more about the book, because I talk further about it in the subscriber-post going out tomorrow. :D
Fantastic and looking forward to it! I just finished your podcast with Tomas Padjlhauser and felt like I was sitting there with you guys listening to a conversation about life. I realized that it doesn’t matter what we each do as a career or hobby out of passion. The same approaches from the mind and heart are necessary to fulfill what is needed to produce the end result. Also, I took away from this discussion that the best results come from merging the traditional with the new and that mistakes are necessary sometimes as foundations for creativity. I found it interesting that again, the beauty is in the process more than the finished product. I just find it so interesting the way you both discussed how you look at the scenes you sketch—why people are important. The discussion about traveling was fascinating. I didn’t even feel the time. It’s like when you are having a great conversation with a friend you never notice the time. My next listen will be the postscript.
I'm so happy to hear that. I always wonder if these conversations are useful to those not engaged in similar artistic pursuits. Your comment is heartening. :)
