the season of rain-couver.

👋 Hello.

A couple of weeks ago, the temperature plummeted suddenly. It has been raining non-stop since then. They have a name for this change of season. They call it Rain-couver. You say it to people and they laugh. They say it to you and you laugh. Meanwhile, it doesn’t stop raining. So it goes.

On the 15th of October, I went to see some friends’ art exhibit at a local gallery and afterwards stopped at a cafe. Looking out of the window with a steaming cup of coffee in my hands, I noticed a couple of city workers in the rain. They were holding signs to re-direct traffic around a road repair site.

It’s a tough job any day of the year, and probably a lot tougher with the cold and rain.
