Day 2 of 30 Days of Vancouver
outside the ubc bookstore in university boulevard.
👋🏼 Hello, reader.
When the sun came out, I found many TinyPeople on the University Boulevard. Later it got colder, then it started to rain. A spring day of Vancouver.
30 Days of Vancouver is my month-long challenge to draw TinyPeople all over the city of Vancouver. This is Day 2.
If you like what you read, share it with another person who might enjoy it too.
Outside the UNIVERSITY BOOKSTORE, watching students do STUDENT THINGS. Some are heading towards class, some are done. Some are meeting friends. I remember doing that too. As crowds of YOUNG PEOPLE pass by, I overhear snatches of CONVERSATION - assignments, roommates, love, professors. I remember when those were the biggest things in my life.
Here and there, sprinkled among so much YOUTH, are older adults. Parents, some, and visiting family. Some are getting a TOUR of the CAMPUS. Some, by themselves, are finding themselves on a map. It is strange to think I am closer to them. than to the students in age. I remember when adulthood was a distant HORIZON, and I was too enveloped by the drama of my life — assignments, roommates, love, professors — to look up.
Things can change in a blink of an eye. Time passes.
I quit my job in UBC on March 31, 2022. This post brought back such fond memories of the campus and the people in it. :)
