My Little Free Drawing Project was on the Evening News!
Insider #155 to thank you for supporting a silly little idea + link to our next hangout.
Dear reader,
One of the perks of a large social media following is that even when you do a little thing, like leave little drawings in little libraries, a lot of people can find out about it. And I think that is what put me on the evening news last night!
The SneakyArt (Insider) Post is written for paying subscribers and patrons of my work. This month, I am sharing weekly progress on my project to giveaway little free drawings at little free libraries.
To support this silly little idea, and have a chance to win a little free drawing in your mail, become a SneakyArt Insider!
📚 “A Little Free Library is a beautiful thing in a community…”
I was delighted for this chance to share my love of Little Free Libraries with a wider audience, and I hope this interview will lead to more people using, or even making, LFLs in their neighborhoods.
The clip is not on YouTube yet, but here is how I caught it while in the car last night, taking Rohan to see Christmas lights around town. (Bonus audio: Rohan cooing.)
📬 Your Chance to Win a Little Free Drawing
This month, I am sending little free drawings to readers all over the world. All you have to do is give good answers to some good questions, like - Is fiction v non-fiction a valid or lazy distinction?, Can the contents of a LFL tell us something about the character of a neighborhood? or, Which book would you take from these shelves?
🎄 Happy Holidays!
Rohan is excited for his first Christmas/Holiday season, even though he has no clue what’s happening. He knows so little.
Whether this season is a family reunion or a get-together with friends, whether it is time to celebrate or contemplate, whether you are with loved ones or by yourself, whether you are happy or sad, I wish you the best.
Every new year can be a fresh page. To shed our cynicisms and jadedness is cumbersome and naive, but it is a choice. Raising a child has taught me that naivete can be a blessing too. Maybe it is one of the keys to happiness.
💻 Join me for the First Hangout of 2025
This year, SneakyArt Hangouts were free to all readers. But starting 2025, I am once again making them private sessions with paying subscribers only. The reason for this is that we are doing a lot of mini projects!
At the first Hangout of 2025, I am drawing live on popular request. I will also share details of our upcoming sketchbook-binding project, and we will discuss creative New Year’s resolutions.
