👋🏼 Hello, Insider!
(and everyone getting a free preview!)
In this Sunday edition, the PostScript with Sandi Hester as a 32-minute audiogram, and the winners of this week’s SneakyArt giveaway!
Working in a visual medium, I am aware of the enormous value of having a great YouTube channel. But recording myself on camera makes me cringe.
How could I make a YT channel work for me - i.e. bring in new audiences and improve my work - without getting aggravated at the same time?
How could I make it sustainable - say, a weekly video? - without disrupting the rest of my workflow?
These are the questions I had for Sandi Hester in this PostScript segment.
You will like this conversation if -
🙇♀️ you have self-doubt about sharing your work with an unknown audience
📹 you have considered entering YouTube but are intimidated by the magnitude of the task
🎙 you enjoyed episodes 38 and 39!
A PostScript conversation occurs after the main conversation has been recorded for the SneakyArt Podcast. In several past recordings, the guest and I would continue to speak for many minutes. This part was like a long goodbye — with no agenda except to tie off loose ends and bring up last-minute thoughts.
I began to record these sessions - after taking the permission of the guest - with the specific intent of creating a reward for SneakyArt Insiders, the wonderful listeners and readers who commit to supporting my independent work.
This is the first time I am sharing a PostScript as a video. I figured this would be the best way to package the audio and the transcript. I hope you enjoy listening to it this way.
Here are the portraits we made of each other while chatting!
