Who are Tiny People?
Insider #72 with my opening pitch to literary agents this year.
Dear Insider,
Often I am asked why I draw like this. I am asked what art supplies I use. There is the popular, rhetorical question - How do you do it? And most often of all, people ask if I can teach them to do it too. There is a single question at the root of all these questions.
I believe the root question is this -
Who are Tiny People?
The correct answer to this question is a big deal. It will form the opening pitch of my book proposal to literary agents this spring.
This year, I want to begin making a Big Book of Tiny People. I am not sure how long it will take to complete the book. I do not know how quickly I will secure an agent, or how easily they will be able to find a publisher. I do not know how long it takes to make a book, print it, put it in stores, and have people buy it. I do not know if that is the end of it.
There are so many things I do not know. This year, I will find some answers. It is the big journey we are taking together, dear Insider. Every answer I find, I will share with you.
