I think I’m overthinking every time I start to draw to the point that I can draw simple objects and subjects. I have been drawing since October last year, and have created some portraits (I don’t know why but I find that portraits are better to draw?).
Reading and following your work has jolted me to get back to basic and draw the simplest of things.
I sooooooo love geeking out over art supplies. You’re feeding the obsession. Thank you. At the Monet show in Denver a few years back the curators had one of the artist’s plein aire palettes on display, along with squooshed tubes of paint and mucky brushes. I enjoyed that almost as much as the paintings.

My Sailor pen was maybe $10, and it's definitely worth having!
