I love the length of the podcasts. I never want them to stop. I run on a treadmill or do the elliptical to them. So interesting.

Yes! I'm glad to help pass the tedium of treadmills! 🙌🏽

I am getting used to the long conversations and I agree with what you said about the advantages of them. However, I can't listen for such a long time, and have to break it up, often into week long listens. I like the way the computer will save my place so I can pick it up each time without searching. I always pick up some "gem", no conversation has felt like a waste of my time. You do a good job of interviewing.

I'm glad to hear that, Linda! My favourite podcasts have episodes going from 3-5 hours, so I am quite used to listening over multiple sessions. I also like the idea of listeners of my show experiencing a conversation in that way.

I just recorded 3 episodes this week itself, and I have recently been plagued by thoughts of "over-extending" the episode lengths. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

I love the length, too. I love that they’re real conversations -- it makes the people feel more real and not like edited caricatures of themselves! You keep me company on my morning dog walks :)

That is great to hear, Mellie! This is what I like most about unedited, long conversations as well - people really get the chance to sound like their best selves, instead of hurriedly prepared caricatures.

I love the idea behind your podcasts, but recently unsubscribed due to the length of each episode. I listened to about 5 at the beginning but had skipped the rest as I also have other current affairs podcasts (so much going on in the world) as well as my favourite YouTubes and social media, streaming shows plus a full time job. I can deal with an hour long podcast but my time is at a premium and I feel I’m missing out by having had to unsubscribe from your podcast.

That is useful feedback, Carol. I'm sad to lose you as a listener, but completely understand where you're coming from.

My plan for the podcast includes splitting longer conversations over multiple episodes, and a newer format with episodes under an hour. More on that soon!

Since I'm new here, are your podcasts on Substack? I'd like to listen!

Hi Renee! My podcast itself is not on Substack. But you can find it on every podcast streaming service!

On Substack I share bonus content from the podcast. I call it the SneakyArt (Insider) Podcast, and it goes out to my paying subscribers. Here is one episode that is free to listen: https://sneakyart.substack.com/p/s13?s=w.

I'm editing the next episode as we speak. And I have lots of plans for more audio content on Substack!
