Great mix of buildings to choose on a summer day. Could I recommend taking a kayak onto a canal and drawing? I was right there last week without knowing you were or I'd have written since I like your work, especially the Vancouver drawings. Enjoy!
We did take a canal one day. But - (1) we didn't stay still long enough, (2) I completely forgot about drawing. If I go again, I will definitely work in a sketch. Hope you had a fun time in Amsterdam!
Thank you, Rob. I am using a fine tip Lamy Safari. I have used this fountain pen nearly every day for the last 5 years. It is the best for both writing and drawing. I use Platinum Carbon Black ink, it is waterproof and the darkest black ink I have been able to find.
A wonderful drawing and piece of writing Nishant. I’ve been admiring posts from you and at least two other artists staying in The Netherlands these past few weeks and I am itching to go back! I have also bookmarked the podcast episode in which you are interviewed. I love his episode titles! I’ve been working my way through The Sneaky Art podcasts right from the beginning since I discovered them a few weeks ago - I just finished the one with Roisin 🧡 - and so it will be good to hear the tables turned and learn more about your background in India.

Wonderful post, Nishant. Love the drawing. Well done. Love Amsterdam.
Thank you Eva!
Beautiful. And great tips. Thanks for sharing.

Are you using a fine tip fountain pen? What ink? Your work captures a scene and a feeling.

So lovely to hear from you, Marta. I hope you enjoy the looong conversation. 😅
I am glad you enjoyed the Ep with Roisin. We had so much in common, it was a conversation of unexpected detours and discoveries for me!
