Dear reader,
I am on the last day of my stay in the Netherlands. Yesterday, I revisited TU Delft to give an alumni presentation to incoming students. Afterwards, I walked around town with friends. We shared our new lives with each other while discovering old memories around every street corner.
The SneakyArt Post is a publication about secretly drawn art of the world. Every week I share moments of beauty from my environment, drawn inside a sketchbook with a fountain pen.
📬 Giveaway
On Sunday, I offered SneakyArt Insiders a chance to win a free drawing, if they would help me figure out the next directions with my art and podcast. More thoughts on the subject soon!
My favourite comment is from Peter Moore:
Congratulations, Peter. I will send you a drawn postcard soon!
One of my 2022 resolutions is to give away as much art as I can. Every month I leave drawings in public spaces for strangers to find. And every month I also share drawings, prints, and books with SneakyArt Insiders. Find here the last postcard I sent from Amsterdam.
In fact, it is Insider support that lets me look past economic considerations and focus on this unique joy. If you believe in this mission, support my work for less than $1 per week!
TU Delft
The TU Delft library is one of the most unique and beautiful libraries in the world.
Sitting with my sketchbook, I watched students go about their day and recalled being in their place. I too have sat on that sloping grass for lunch on sunny days. I too have taken those benches to have first conversations with new friends. I too have climbed those steps to complete assignments and find reference books.
Though much has changed, much abides…
I finished my sketchbook a day ahead of time. I will share more pages from it soon, but (for the benefit of new readers) here is where it began.
As a result, my final drawing in Delft was made on loose art paper, which I will offer for sale next week.
Dear reader, if you would like to purchase this drawing, reach out!
Normal programming resumes next week. I will share details about the new season of the SneakyArt Podcast and put up new prints for sale in the shop. If there is a particular drawing you wanted as a print, tell me in the comments!
Thank you for your time and attention. I am glad to have a space in your inbox.
Love these sprawling landscapes. Fantastic work.
