I don’t know what it is but your drawings really strike a chord with me. Beautiful.

I love this work, Nishant, and your choice of color just to highlight the water. Thank you for sharing it.

Thank you, Heather. I traveled with just a few colours and had to get creative about how to pick the right one. In the drawing of Emerald Lake, that I shared on Notes, I did multiple layers of crayons on top of the marker.

I can't find it! Can you help?

Nishant Jain's avatar

I shared it only as a note. Let me do that again!

There really is something ineffably beautiful about waterfalls. My favorite is Snoqualmie Falls :)

There is something so zen like about this. I love it.

Question out of ignorance, how do you create the prints? I suppose you scan the handdrawn artwork in high quality and have it printed?

Nishant Jain's avatar

That is correct.

Stunning art! I love how you continue to branch out in different surroundings.

Thank you, Amie! In a way it feels like doing the same thing every time, in that I am only doing what makes me curious. :)

Your work is really beyond what words can adequately describe. Witnessing the beautiful yet subtle evolution of your style has been so rewardingly enjoyed. There is a curiously and pleasantly deceptive simplicity about your sketches that once it reaches our visual senses, they almost immediately transform and we are convinced that we get to see what you see for that moment and every moment we return to your work, more details unfold and reveal themselves but this unfolding happens in our minds. Does this make any sense? Thank you!

Nishant Jain's avatar

It does! A lot of art appreciation requires active participation and willing engagement from the viewer. And words are inadequate to describe this equation. Thank you for sharing! 🙏
