I absolutely LOVE the cherty blossom drawing with the pink colour pencil!! SO BEAUTIFUL. Perhaps you would consider making a print for purchase. I would love to put that on my wall.
I, and many others I am sure, am uplifted by your regular postings. Your Art and your Writing are vehicles of creativity. Sharing life through these efforts gives us a glimpse of you- we get to feel that we know you even though we “operate on very little information” about you directly. AI will never be able to make Art because Art comes from the soul. Art is created through the cost of time, through struggle, through the continued effort we all give every day in LIVING….. and AI is incapable of spending time, struggling, or giving a continued effort. It cannot function based on “incomplete and biased data, rough ideas, … and clues buried deep within”. Since AI is a creation of human beings, it may be considered yet another form of Art itself. Through Art (and our efforts of creation) we fight the entropy of the Universe. This is the way in which we bring order from chaos, and thus AI may be considered another very powerful tool in the collective armamentarium we all need while living a creative Life.
I love the surprise of wandering around Eau Claire (or opening an email) and finding small pieces of your Art in a shop, gallery, or the home of a friend. It is this surprise, derived from many sources, that fuels inspiration for my own creation, my own efforts and struggles in writing music, songs, poetry, and prose. I thank you for your contributions.
Our offspring (my kids and yours) are an endless source and ultimate expression of this surprise, this creation. They are why we are here, our purpose. The “kaleidoscope of his dreams” will bring new surprise, new creation, new beauty into the Universe. Rohan, like my kids, has been given opportunity to discover and continue this process of struggle, of effort at Creation. He will grow to know how lucky he is to be here. Isn’t that what we are all doing?
Just keep doing what you are doing Nishant. It matters.
Thank you so much for these words, Robert. I cannot tell you how wonderful it feels to know the lasting impact of my sketchbook scribbles in Eau Claire. Then, I had no idea they would matter to anyone, not even me. The EC community gave me a lot of strength and encouragement, and made that book (and so much art) happen. It will always be a special part of my life.
Your words for Rohan are beautiful and I agree completely. We are lucky to be here, and parenthood is a chance to re-discover the joys of being present, being alive. Everyday I discover something again, something that I knew but forgot over time. Such a privilege.
Thank you allowing us to watch Rohan grow through your sketchbook.😊 What a wonderful idea to sketch Rohan ever day of his first year. As the years pass, this will be a wonderful gift to all of you.

That is a great idea, Lisa. I will scan it later this week and make it part of the next print drop (which is coming soon)!
Wonderful post. I love the video. :) Keep sharing.
Thank you, Angela!

Thank you for being with me on this journey!

Thank you, Cindy. 🥰 I just started a new sketchbook just for Rohan! Will be flipping through its pages at the insider hangout this weekend.
What a beautiful post, thank you for sharing.
You're most welcome, thank you for reading! 🙏
That video is so beautiful. I thought leaving in the accidental drop was a nice/humorous touch. You’re a brilliant artist.
Thank you Nolan! I've decided to stop trying to polish the videos, and let everything in. 🙏
Nishant just keeping it real : )
