All Americans don't judge. Some are simply scared of what they don't understand. Some in all areas are though, not just Americans. We aren't all crazy. We can see past our outsides and know that each of us are simply human beings who mean just as much as the next human being. We can see the beauty of life itself. If that's crazy....I suppose I am a crazy American.

Haha well said, Angela. In my post, I actually meant "crazy" in a positive sense. Americans are so bold about living their life, and expressing themselves, the way they want. As a person from SE Asia, it's not something condoned in society. So I took a lot of courage from the "crazy Americans" I found. I would not have taken the leap to become an artist if not for them!

If I'm completely honest, the many who actually aren't American and have come here inspire me because I think that takes guts. Some today judge what they don't understand. Years ago when America was founded, those who came here weren't born in America. I wish that EVERY American remembered that. I'm proud to be American but man do I truly love and respect so many from other locations. To me, that courage is sooo inspiring.

Thank you for saying that, Angela. You are so correct. It takes a lot of courage to leave familiar places, family, social connections and cache, to make a life in a new world.

I received your book the other day! And the first thing I did was show it to my younger kid and explain your idea of Sneaky Artist and sketching. My kids both love to draw, very different styles, and both fight themselves on what they think needs to be perfect the first time out. I cannot tell you what a gift it was for me to watch my almost-14-year-old paging through your Sneaky Art book and thinking about the freedom of sketching, and even leaving sneaky art for people here and there. Thank you!

And oh, what a treasure thing it is for grandparents and grandchildren to know each other. Thank you for sharing their moments with us. 🧡

Glad to hear that, Antonia! Fourteen is such a great age for art and sketching. I hope they pick up a sneaky art practice!
