Really lovely! I feel these things too. And feel like our art is more important than ever before. Beautiful writing ❤️

So glad to hear that Michael. 🙌 I wonder if it gets easier or much harder when you're perennially traveling?

Being able to focus on beauty? I feel like I am constantly coming face to face with the world's beauty. Just got back from an English estate with an incredible Gothic mansion surrounded by beautiful trees still decked out in fall colors.

No saturation then??

You mean being oversaturated by beautiful things?

Yes, I imagine it's not difficult to glaze over a lot of beauty that would leave less traveled people amazed. Simply by virtue of having seen so much? For example, I'm lucky to live in a supremely beautiful part of the world. But I have to sometimes remind myself to take it in, the mountains, the sea, the clouds, and the trees. It can be so easy to get wrapped up in my own life and forget my surroundings.

I'd say that never happens because I'm obsessed with photography, so I'm constantly observing the world. But you're doing the same thing for your art. Maybe it's only that it's because you're in the same place.

Whatever the reason, no, that doesn't happen. I feel like now I'm noticing it ALL of the time, much more so than before.

Welcome back! Not being so au fait with how substack works, I find myself searching for your next post 😁. I might not get to join the hangout tomorrow, or maybe I'll be listening whilst driving home. Autumn is passing into winter here, the days are shorter, I use my electric lap blanket more (to save energy so that I don't have to heat the whole house). Brrrr. Art is progressing for me, I'm happy to say, however not so much the decluttering...sigh...

Liz, do you read on the app or your inbox? Decluttering is not easy! With Rohan at 9 months, we are busy getting rid of everything in the house that could hurt him, and replacing it with more room for him to safely play. Hard work!

For substack, I usually look on the app. I do see your emails but sometimes I get distracted. What is restacking? And what happens when I add my comment as a note as well? I guess I subscribed to others in substack impulsively, so I see a substack notification and then realise it's not you, then I wonder what I'm reading! As for nearly walking Rohan, everything needs to be put above arm's reach with cupboard door locks 🤣, and then.. there's climbing reach, But that's not for a good few months yet. Oh the joys of curiosity!

I’ve very recently started to occasionally do something similar and it does feel a bit sneaky especially if up too close!

Just love ALL of this! Thank you for sharing your gentleness Nishant in this somewhat mad yet glorious world. (IF we let it be that way of course, the choice is always ours) 😉
