I so enjoyed reading your post and your thoughts about art and artists. I found you at the wild wonder international conference and watched your webinar. I have wanted to take up urban sketching and looked at other artists works and in books for inspiration but they were all so detail oriented.

I became discouraged until I saw your work. I still struggle with actually picking up the pen and sketching.

Thank you for sharing your talents with the world.

Monica, I am so glad to have you here. I also completely understand what you mean by the books being detail oriented. I hope you will continue to find inspiration in my work, and take steps towards urban sketching. And I hope my book - later this year - can become the push you need!

Thank you for your art, your teaching, and your writing. You're a great source of inspiration for me, and im looking forward to learning more from you at the Wild Wonder retreat on Bainbridge Island in August. I'd to share a brilliant writer with you who I first found during the early pandemic lockdown - Maria Popova. She's pure magic. https://www.themarginalian.org/

Jennifer, I have been a fan of Maria's writing for over 10 years now, from back when it was called Brain Pickings. But it's been a while since I read her posts, thank you for this reminder! And I look forward to seeing you at Bainbridge Island this summer! ☺️☺️

Hi - I love your unassuming take on your practice - so refreshing in contrast to the "bigger is better" attitude of most of the Art World. Anyone can do this and there are no rules. Good luck with the Show. You have a Show! You are an Artist!

It's almost at the end of the show, and I honestly never took the time to appreciate that I HAVE A SHOW! It's so difficult to give myself grace sometimes. Thank you for reminding me. 🥰
