I just signed up for your newsletter and am looking forward to reading more of your writing and seeing more of your art
You have written about your experiences beautifully. Being on the retreat was such an incredible experience, full of inspiration, fun, and so many helpful lessons. I loved your classes, and I loved Jack's and Kate's as well, and getting to meet all of the wonderful nature journalers, and be around the plants and animals we got to see in the forest. Thank you so much again!
I use my phone to record my curiosity. I take a lot of photos. I have a series of photos I call Faces ofβ¦ like you I try not to be seen while recording these faces. I also have a series of abstract photo. My phone allows me to record the tiny things I notice. Like most people I can waste time nothing on my phone but when Iβm walking I never fail to be looking closely to see if I can record something to draw or something to post that will show someone else why we should be curious and look closely.
Loving the sneaky direction and line focus you gifted us this past week at Islandwood! Will be keeping my pen to paperβ¦hopefully our paths will cross again. In mean time, I look forward to reading about your adventures here.
Nishant - as a long time admirer of your art and ideas it was a delight to meet you in person. I am still digesting the many lessons and inspirations of the past week (and hope I will continue to do so for a while yet since there was so much food for thought). Your actions as well as your lessons have given me much to aspire to. Congrats again on the book, and re-engaging with the podcast, and thank you for all the work that goes into sharing yourself with us.
Theresa, it was wonderful to meet you, and learn more about you. Just like you, I'm also going to stay a long time with the lessons and experiences of this week. βΊοΈβΊοΈ
Hi Nishant! The retreat was magical with the classes addressing so many of my challenges with nature journaling, particularly sketching quickly while in the company of non-journalers. I am going to be out there now with my pen and tiny sketchbook, finding my focus, and making my continuous lines.
The poetry also resonated with me. I spent yesterday filling in the blank pages I'd left to add in the poems, and also took time to finish a few of my hastier sketches.
Thank you for giving so much of yourself at the retreat. Your skills are inspiring and your generosity in sharing them is much appreciated.
Iβve been to one of Jackβs retreatβs, and I love the magic that he and his Wild Wonder folks conjure up, even for a novice like me! So it was a delight to think of you there, too, in the mix of their alchemyβand to see Jack and Kate in your sketchbook!
Hi Nishant! This blog post is such a beautiful capture of what the Bainbridge Island NJ retreat was all about. I appreciate you as an instructor and as a person. Your writing captures my heart. I am inspired and motivated to carry forward the ideas and techniques gained from meeting you.
Hi Nishant! Thoroughly enjoyed your workshops at Bainbridge as well as your philosophies! Also appreciated your help with my own drawings.

That's a positive way to use the phone, Nina! Curiosity for the win!
