I would think so. The example I think of is Google Maps. How much did we need to pay attention to signs, street intersections, and landmarks before we could just 'map it' to a place?
This was a super cool edition. I looked at each panel and thought about myself having been in many bubbles in those situations, yet I never thought about it that way.
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it. Indeed these are very regular scenes! It would be interesting if you notice them in a different light from now on. :)
A very interesting question/comment. Your sketches and passage prompted me to think back and remember how I was one of those individuals in my person bubble, focusing on just myself and oblivious to all around me. There were moments when I did choose to focus on a person or 2 to think about, wondering what their life was like, whether they had worries or if they were happy, wondering what they were thinking about, and so on.
I like this a lot. Yet, in my minds eye I see a comic with two scenes: A bunch of bubbles all around 1 bubble which says introvert. Next scene: a bubbles popping the introvert bubble stays in center. Then you have another comic with two scenes: A bunch of bubbles all around 1 bubble which says extrovert. Here the bubbles are all attached to each other around the extrovert bubble and all of them have smiles on.
I love the idea of bubbles. It would be cool to illustrate people inside their bubbles sometime!
Sometimes it feels like everyone I draw is inside their bubbles. Especially on the buses and trains!
Oh, for sure. I meant physically illustrating that point. Could be pretty cool to show how we're all isolated even within "community."
Ah, interesting. I'll think about that!
Just wondering if there were fewer private bubbles before the mobile phone came into our lives. I can no longer remember.

That's a lovely representation, Lucy!
