I just found out that I can't attend my cousin's upcoming wedding (I thought it'd be over the summer and I could attend; turns out the wedding is in September and I'm a student so I'll be too busy to attend.) My cousin and I aren't very close, and reading this did make me smile -- it reminded me that attending the wedding is just one way to celebrate the occasion. You can be a good guest and a kind friend without actually going.
