With all due respect, I think he already knows more things than you think. For most of the day, he has nothing to do except to think. He knows you, your wife, the grandparents by voice, by smell, and by sight. He knows that you have more facial hair than your wife (I presume). He knows when you are happy or stressed out. He knows day from night. He knows that there is more activity inside and outside your house in the daytime than at night. He knows and loves his bottles. He knows what baths feel like. He knows when you raise your voice. He knows the sounds of your heating system, and nearby traffic sounds, compared to the sound of your wife’s heartbeat. Most of all, he knows you love him!!! He knows you and your wife love each other! He probably knows the secrets of the universe, although he will forget those things as he becomes more and more aware. He knows other things we don’t know he knows. Tomorrow he will know more than he knew today. We must never underestimate what a child knows.

Katherine, I absolutely also believe that he knows the secrets of the universe. He understands life at a level that we do not anymore as adults, with all our distractions and abstractions. I'm looking to him for tips on how to live. ☺️ Thank you for your wonderful thoughts!

All beautiful, Nishant. Rohan is one lucky little guy. He’s going to have so much to look back on. As you know my boys have years of my journals and drawings of their lives… they don’t seem to care much now but I know someday they will, and more importantly the appreciation for art and their own creativity has blossomed over the years. ☺️

So true, being with children is our best lesson for noticing small things and being open and curious. Each stage, for me, I grieved the loss of the just out grown stage and was amazed and joyful with the new stage. This is a very lucky child, to be so noticed and wanted.
