I truly enjoyed this postscript. I know I say that a lot, but everyone with whom you have a conversation has something unique to share not only about art but intertwined with how we all live life. I found it interested that Emma felt the same as you do about self-publishing. I loved both of your portraits. They are fantastic. It was fun. When you and your guests talk about art, there is a deeply personal nuance to every word shared—the strengths and weaknesses of being human, our endeavors, wishes, our disappointments and triumphs, how we dust ourselves off and get up from every fall. Your podcasts capture all of that. I play your podcasts when I’m cooking, eating, journaling, or relaxing in reflection with my evening mug of coffee. Every guest is like this release of fresh air as I wonder how the fragrance would differ this time. Speaking of Miles Davis, have you heard this quote from him? “If you’re not making mistakes, it’s a mistake.”
Wow, that's such a great quote. Thanks for sharing!
I'm really happy to know that the episodes fit into your daily routine in such an organic way. By doing so, I imagine, the listener also becomes part of the conversation, with their own answers and ideas about the various subjects. While podcasts don't invite real-time participation from listeners, I like how they can be a true 'fly on the wall' experience.
I always love to hear your thoughts on these Insider posts as well as the podcast conversations, Celeste. Thanks so much! 😁
I love the beautiful drawn lines you use to break up sections of your 'stack. How do you do that? I haven't been able to work out many layout tricks on my own 'stack. If there's a "how to" section on the Substack website I haven't found yet, pls let me know. Thx and best wishes, Nishant.
Thanks, Peter. I drew these lines myself. They're just images which I drag and drop onto the editor. If you aren't interested in drawing them yourself, you can search for something suitable on Google and crop them out to make your own!
Thx Nishant. I did draw and drop my own special R2E lines, but my lines don’t look beautifully transparent the way yours do. Maybe my blue background is the culprit. I’ll experiment.

Another thing to consider is that the email does not appear with a blue background in your readers' inbox.
