The trees in my life are as diverse as the two worlds I inhabit. Desert: Queen palm, mesquite and palo verde. Island: spruce, horse chestnut, crabapple--a whole orchard!

Thank you for giving me an idea for an upcoming micro essay. 🌲

Wonderful! I look forward to reading more of this newsletter, thanks for sharing the link.

Growing up in a big city, I have had a poor relationship with trees. The only tree that mattered to me was a neighbour's guava tree. She would let my brother and I climb up every season to throw down guavas. And of course take some for ourselves. :)

Maybe I am lucky that life has brought me to such a distinct part of the natural world, and I am compelled to give trees a second, deeper look. More soon!

Hi Nishant, l love trees, my favourite is the Eucalyptus tree, but then I can't go past some mighty New Zealand fav's: the Kauri tree, the biggest and mightiest is 'Tani Mahuta', then there is the Totara tree, Kahikatea and the winsome Rimu. I could go on forever about trees. Glad you bought it up. Well done.

Tani Mahuta looks incredible! I went out today with the Seek app and found many conifers here as well. But my favourite find was the Monkey Puzzle tree!
