The hooded stranger looked both ways at the dim intersection of the narrow alleys in Lower Croon, as if expecting more robust traffic than the scurrying children, splashing down the sodden streets on little errands or other business of their own. The stranger stepped off the other way into the dim rainy mist and disappeared under the dark arch.
The urchin, a bedraggled little fellow, pushed wet blond hair off his forehead and followed.
Lower right-Day Together: “After 20 years of exchanging Christmas cards each year, I’m so delighted we got to meet up in the rain under greyish clouds, my old friend. While I would have ordinarily and undoubtedly frowned on such a day, you have now cured me of my melancholy. And so from this day forward, I shall smile my most winning smile should I encounter a smidgen of grey up above.”
I am invincible. Whatever the world throws at me, I got it. Yeah, I'm going to work downtown, but if the situation calls for it, I could do a mountain. You never know what the day will bring.

Also I love this idea, and the gorgeous colour studies of the trees - particularly the reds! I've been trying to branch out more with colour recently too and it's difficult!! Well done 🙌

Also it's funny to me how in Vancouver some seem to ignore the rain, because where I live people immediately stay at home when it rains, using it as ultimate and valid excuse to cancel all their plans 😆
Every work day she passes by the playground. She is 65 today and knows it is now or never to bring back that childhood memory in the school playground of teetering and tottering, of laughter and freedom and happy children doing what they do best....playing. Alas, the feeling is less than that now but somehow, still brave and good.
