Honestly, it's the biggest reason I started being sneaky. I didn't want the attention. People are mostly kind enough to not disturb, but every time someone has stopped by it has been a lovely, wonderful interaction. And I feel silly for my need to continue being sneaky. But there it is, sigh.
My out of comfort zone practice these days is shooting photos with a real digital camera on the street and at events I attend. People notice when you have an honest to goodness camera slung over your shoulder so it can be hard to hide, but that’s what I want. I want to push myself to be out there.
The gaze of others who know I am taking their photos. Typically, I prefer being a sneaky artist like you, so being visible to the people I photograph is challenging but also fun and exhilarating!
the disturbed cat drawing was my fav <3
I hope to draw him more often!
Very interesting doodling and a lovely way to spend some time
Do you find people come over to see what you're drawing? And if they do, do you mind?

I'll certainly try out the Lamy Safari. Thanks for your quick reply and I look forward to seeing more of your drawings.
I like the ease with which you approach your sketching it's like you disappear into your surroundings. I'm curious as what pen you use.
That's exactly what I'm trying to do. And it's a Lamy Safari fountain pen!
To exit the C-Zone this week, I've tip-toed out of just writing poetry, to actually reciting it: https://teawithdweez.substack.com/p/chasing-suchness-a-mornings-in-my
Never get tired of your observational sketch-doodles! Such a personalised style. M
Thank you Mark!

Interesting, Mike! Do you feel uncomfortable because it feels like "serious business"? Is it the gaze of the others?

I can imagine. Every time I take a gig where people will know I'm sketching - and there's one coming up in two weeks - I'm very self conscious.
