Sketchbook to Studio
#277: some good lines for your inbox
Dear reader,
I made a post sharing my thoughts of AI-generated imagery and it went viral on Instagram. Which … should be a good thing? But it does not make me happy. Sharing opinions on social media is tiring. Simply being on social media is tiring. Even when it works, or especially when it works.
The SneakyArt Post is a newsletter of secretly drawn art of the world. Every week, I share the best pages from my sketchbooks, and the best ideas from my journey as an artist and writer.
I wrote several hundred words for today’s post, then deleted all of them. Words are tiring too. You deserve better. In today’s post, instead, find some good lines I found in my world, then brought back to the studio.
I saw intense cloud action taking place over the mountains to the north…

Eleanor Doughty gave me some chopsticks to play with.

On the Millenium Line, I sat behind the coveted front-seat and drew the whole journey.
Later, in the studio…
In case you missed it:
🎯 Last week, I spoke about the spirit of amateur love, the most honest love of all.
🤖 Evil is not a smirking malevolence, it is a banal decaying of what used to be good.
👶 Rohan reminds me of my earliest memory.
Thank you for reading. I am glad to have a space in your inbox.
(Paying subscribers, we are finally starting our first big project of the year. Expect mail this Sunday.)

Love to Rohan! I dig your line vibes!
Lovely, Nishant. Have you tried using ink and salt? You can achieve wonderful cloud effects.
