Your first 2 agent rejections are like a rite of passage - welcome to publishing! I know how devastating it feels, but truly, it’s the literary equivalent of doing a bunch of bad sketches before you hit your stride. I queried so many agents for my first book (including one who strung me along for months and then disappeared). But when I found the right agent it was worth the process. Hang in there. You’re doing the thing and making progress. Don’t give up!
It's a tough market out there, but remember, the first Harry Potter novel was rejected by 12 different publishing houses before Bloomsbury accepted it.
I had a flare so we weren't able to do the drive to this yesterday. I'm so bummed I missed this. And I'm so excited to do this online in a class with you!
I so wish I could've joined you at SketcherFest! Re: literary agents: two is only the first step! I was rejected by 40 agents before I found one who was willing to take me on--and she made no secret of the fact that she was very much on the fence!

I'm glad to hear that. Thank you! 🙌
