Dear reader,
Or should I call you an old friend? Because how could we not be old friends by now?
Last week I completed 100 weeks of writing the SneakyArt Post.
For some of you, that is 100 weeks of getting SneakyArt in your inbox. One hundred weeks of sharing my life, my words, and my lines.
For me it has been 100 weeks as a writer thinking about my work, articulating my ideas, and hitting the publish button.
It has been very good for me to do this. And because you are here, I trust it has been the same for you too.
Help me reach more people by sharing this post with people who do not know about SneakyArt. Outrageous!
Today I want to share 📝 highlights from 100 weeks of writing and 📢 celebrate this year’s wins.
But before that, a question.
📝 Best of: One Hundred Weeks of Writing
[#1 - Escher and … public art] In the first email that went out to only a few dozen readers, I introduce my work, and speak about an artist I admire. I explain MC Escher’s ideas as I learn about them myself. Read also part 2 here.
[#11 - SneakyArt Drop] To balance the good words against the best lines, I sometimes drop just some sneaky art. See also, here, here, and here.
[Insider 27] I announce the 30 Days of Vancouver project, explaining my goals, motivations, and plans.
[Day 11 of 30 Days of Vancouver] Day 11 was memorable not only for the sketch but also for the fun storytelling thread with readers in the comments.
[91 - Mother’s Hands] On leaving home again.
[110 - Boats in Springtime] Lapping waters, and memories of a story heard long ago.
📢 Celebrating Wins!
Dear reader, it has been a good year for SneakyArt.
🎙 Drawing live with host Trevor Dineen on CBC Radio “Now or Never”, I gave good reasons to make drawing a part of one’s life.
🎙I spoke with host Natasha Mitchell of the Science Friction podcast (ABC Radio National, Australia) about making the leap from engineering and academia to art and writing.
🎯 I have completed ~90 hours of long-form conversation on the SneakyArt Podcast. Find here all the ideas and techniques that help me make the SneakyArt Podcast, as part of my 2022 resolution to Learn in Public.
Dear reader, I am glad to have a space in your inbox. And I look forward to the journey of our next 100 weeks together.
I probably would not listen or watch your podcast seminar, but one of your best qualities is the need to keep growing. To always try new things. I would hope that there will be many people who could learn a lot from your teachings.
